New Year’s Day (2011)

*   Due to a lack of market consensus, EMTA is not making any market recommendation regarding (i) whether or not the market should close early (2:00 p.m. (NYC time)) in the U.S. on Friday, July 2; Friday, September 3; and Wednesday, November 24 or (ii) whether or not the market should be closed in the U.S. in full on Friday, November 26.

** While SIFMA has recommended full market closes in the  U.K. on Monday, January 18; Monday, February 15;  Monday, July 5; Monday, September 6; Monday, October 11; Thursday, November 11; and Thursday, November 25, EMTA cannot concur with such recommendations at this time due to a lack of market consensus.

EMTA generally recommends holidays when the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the New York Stock Exchange or the London Stock Exchange observes a holiday. EMTA's recommended early and full market closes are recommendations only. All EMTA recommendations are subject to change due to market conditions.
